NBC Radio's broadcast discs, 1935 to 1970, brought to the Library historic radio coverage of the Depression, World War II, post-war recovery, and a rich mine of radio drama and comedy.
Housed in the Library of Congress, the NBC Radio archives contain 150,000 assets which date from the early 1930's to the 1980's. There are many unique recordings from of opera, symphony, historic news broadcasts, and public affairs programs. Not only do we have historic broadcasts for radio’s golden age but we also have rare interviews from newsmakers who shaped our generations and America.
